Summary

A possible medieval to post medieval earthwork enclosure or field boundary ditch is visible on aerial photographs to the north of Old Watton Road, Colney. It is possible that this feature relates to drainage, as there are several modern drainage ditch earthworks in the vicinity.

A possible medieval to post medieval earthwork enclosure or field boundary ditch is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3) to the north of Old Watton Road, Colney.
The possible enclosure measures 81m by at least 62m externally and is centred on TG 1816 0808. It is possible that this feature relates to drainage, as there are several modern drainage ditch earthworks in the vicinity.
There are also two possible pit features nearby, which may also be modern in date.
