Map

July 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of linear ditches which may represent post medieval drainage features, are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3) to the south of New Road, Bawburgh.
They are centred on TG 1687 0895, but could not be located with any extreme accuracy due to less than perfect rectification of photograph. They do not appear to correspond with the drainage ditches shown on historic maps of the area, but it is possible that they served a drainage function. It is worth noting, though, that the ditches to the west, visible curving slightly to the northwest at TG 1685 0903, are slightly different in character to the others, and may enclose a slightly raised raised area to the west.
E. Bales (NMP), 20 July 2010.
