Full Description
July 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A possible prehistoric curvilinear enclosure is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the south of the Royal Norfolk showground, Bawburgh. It is centred on TG 1517 0996 and measures 27m in external diameter. A possible Bronze Age oval barrow (NHER 9290) has been recorded approximately 200m to the southeast, and it is possible that this enclosure may be related to the ring ditch. However, the possible enclosure is fragmentary and only visible on one set of photographs, and has therefore been recorded with a note of caution.
E. Bales (NMP), 20 July 2010.
