Map

July 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Several linear ditches are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), on land to the north west of Bowthorpe deserted medieval village and ruins of St Michael's Church (NHER 5352).
They are centred on TG 1737 0928, and consist of three roughly parallel linear ditches, between c. 6m and 10m apart, only faintly visible against a background of geological striations which partially obscure the cropmarks. Since they are only visible on one set of photographs, and were mapped from a photo that was difficult to rectify, their extent and location may not be entirely accurate.
E. Bales (NMP), 20 July 2010.
