Summary

The cropmarks of ditches which probably form part of a field system of unknown, but possible Roman date, are visible on aerial photographs to the northwest of Wensum Mount Farm, Hellesdon. The site consists of fragmentary linear and rectilinear sections of ditches, the majority of which run either parallel or perpendicular to one another, and are likely to form a field system. These cropmarks are located to the west of an area of a limited number of Roman date finds (NHER 7860) and this may indicate a Roman date for the fields.
