Summary

The site of a possible World War Two surface air raid shelter at Drayton may be visible on aerial photographs. The possible surface shelter is visible from 1945-7. The identification of this structure as being World War Two is uncertain and it may be that it is a non-defensive structure. No structure is marked on the Ordnance Survey Second Edition map (1902-7, 25 inch), although it is feasible that it post dates this edition of the map but is pre-World War Two.
