Full Description
September 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The earthworks of a World War Two slit or practice trench and a possible weapons be visible on aerial photographs alongside the railway line in-between Drayton and Costessey (S1-S3). The site is centred on TG 1776 1416. A possible large weapons pit is located to the north of the site at approximately TG 1777 1420 in 1946 (S2), however this was not visible in September 1945 (S1) and was therefore not mapped as it is likely to be a post-war pit or another nature.
S. Horlock (NMP), 01 September 2010.
