Summary

The cropmarks of undated and multi-phase ditches and former field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs to the northeast of Rogers Farm, Costessey. The date of the ditches is uncertain and certainly relate to more than one phase of activity. The majority are likely to be later prehistoric to Roman in date. Finds within the vicinity of these cropmarks include numerous prehistoric and Neolithic date flints (NHER 30570-1) and other finds ranging in date from the Late Bronze Age, Roman, Saxon and medieval periods (NHER 28422).

The cropmarks of undated and multi-phase ditches and former field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs to the northeast of Rogers Farm, Costessey (S1-S3). The site is centred on TG 1903 1123. The date of the ditches is uncertain and certainly relate to more than one phase of activity. The majority are likely to be later prehistoric to Roman in date. Finds within the vicinity of these cropmarks include numerous prehistoric and Neolithic date flints (NHER 30570-1) and other finds ranging in date from the Late Bronze Age, Roman, Saxon and medieval periods (NHER 28422).
