Full Description
September 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of ditches and former field boundaries of probable post-medieval date are visible on aerial photographs to the east of Church Farm, Taverham (S1). The site is centred on TG 1645 1362. Finds in this general area include Saxon date material, although it seems unlikely that the ditches pre-date the post-medieval period, or medieval to post-medieval periods.
S. Horlock (NMP), 07 September 2010.
November-December 2014. Watching Brief.
Topsoil stripping and excavation of a narrow trench for installation of a sewerage pipe was monitored.
No evidence of the linear features observed as cropmarks in this area was observed, nor were any other archaeological features or finds.
See report (S2) and NHER 61062 for further information.
H. Hamilton (HES), 20 July 2015.
