Full Description
1946. Ploughed up by deep ploughing in October in strip south of southeast of Labour in Vain Plantation. (Now gone). Square headed bronze brooch gilded and silvered 15.2cm (6 inches) long: 8.3cm (3 1/4 inches) maximum width. Mid 6th century (see brooch from Ipswich (S1) East Anglian type). Traces of solder or silver for securing jewel insets.
