Full Description
March 2010. Recommendation for listing.
The Marine public house was recommended for listing as one of the few surviving buildings on the Marine Parade frontage which pre-dates the development of the resort of Great Yarmouth in the mid-19th century. The building appears to be of late 18th century or early 19th century origins and was enlarged in the mid to late 19th century. In the 1930s the building was enlarged by Lacons Brewery with the addition of half a bay with full height canted bay windows at the north end of the front elevation and a full height canted bay to the south with single storey extensions to the southern gable and th rear of the building. The interior was completedly remodelled in the late 20th century.
See (S1) for further details.
S. Howard (NLA), 6 October 2010.
