Full Description
This site was previously recorded under NHER 5092.
March 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a ring ditch, interpreted as a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Upper Stoke (S1-S4). The site is centred on TG 2482 0245. The ring ditch is slightly poly in shape and measures 14m across. The probable barrow was potentially constructed alongside an earlier Neolithic long barrow or mortuary enclosure (NHER 53341).
S. Horlock (NMP), 23 March 2009.
