Full Description
March 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of fragmentary ditches, some of which could relate to be associated with former road or track of possible Roman or medieval to post medieval date (NHER 9862), are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Caistor Lane, Caistor St Edmund (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 2471 0397. A number of the fragmentary ditches are broadly parallel to the section of road or track to the immediate west, which may have continued along this route and linked up with NHER 53214 to the east. The date of these fragmentary ditches is unknown, although it is feasible that some of them are also Roman or medieval to post medieval in date.
S. Horlock (NMP), 24 March 2009.
