Summary

During excavations in 1953 for a new strong room at St Martin's Bank, part of a 14th century brick vaulted undercroft was uncovered. The bank has now gone, but the undercroft may remain.

The site is 'partly on the site of the house occupied by a well known Norwich goldsmith named Bassingham' (S1).
