Four World War Two underground shelters are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) in the grounds of Thetford Grammar School. They are centred on TL 8670 8305 and each measures approximately 16m in length by 3.5m in width. They consist of banks above ground, with possible entrances visible on their eastern sides, and remnants of the mounds are still visible as late at 1957 (S2).
