Summary

In 1976 an Upper Paleolithic retouched flint flake and a Neolithic flint fabricator or strike-a-light were recovered at an unknown location in Thornham. A number of objects recovered in the parish between 2004 and 2006 as a result of metal-detecting are also currently poorly located. These include a Late Iron Age pottery sherd; Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; a medieval/post-medieval jetton and token and a medieval harness pendant and strap end.

Two flint objects recovered by D. Wortley, both labelled 'Thornham 1976':
1 ?Upper Palaeolithic retouched flint flake.
1 Neolithic flint fabricator or strike-a-light.
