Summary

In 1971 a collection of Roman pottery sherds and post medieval animal bones, tiles, shells and ceramic fragments were recovered from this location.

1971. Material found about 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) down. Edge of old estuary. Near site of cottage which disappeared from maps about one hundred years ago. Found in making a swimming pool.
2nd century grey ware and one buff ware sherd and post medieval sherds animal bones, tiles and shell.
