NIAS records:
Photographic survey by NIAS in 1989 shows a date stone on one of the outbuildings reading "1868", the earliest known date for buildings other than the foundry. The photographs also show the outbuildings under rennovation (The main front building known as "The Foundry" has been in continuous use with no need for rennovation). The site is listed in directories from 1845 to 1929.
