This foundry is marked as "Smithy" in the 1824 1st ed. O.S. map. (S1)
The road running east to west is called "Foundry Lane"
NIAS records: Photograph of the building shows a plaque naming the building as "The Foundry", taken in 1988 it shows the building converted to a house (S2).
