Summary

A possible World War Two site, indicated by the presence of a possibly camouflaged structure, and several dispersed features, which could relate to a radio interceptor site, and is reminiscent of that recorded at Trimingham as a Royal Navy ‘Y’ site (NHER 38934) is visible on aerial photographs to the north of Rectory Lane, Bracon Ash.

Map

April 2011. Norfolk NMP.
A possible World War Two site, indicated by the presence of a possibly camouflaged structure, and several dispersed features, which could relate to a radio interceptor site, and is reminiscent of that recorded at Trimingham as a Royal Navy ‘Y’ site (NHER 38934) is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3) to the north of Rectory Lane, Bracon Ash. It is possible that this site is in fact agricultural in nature, as the structure is clearly visible in use as an agricultural building on the 1946 (S3) and later photographs, therefore this record should be viewed with caution.
