Full Description
March 2011.
Tree with World War Two USAAF graffiti, just inside Robin's Nursery, presumably by personnel from Attlebridge airfield (NHER 3063). Appears to read 'LOG USA' and 'HCC'.
See digital images (S1).
D. Gurney (HES), 22 March 2011.
May 2011.
Further searching within the wood has revealed the presence of graffiti on quite a few of the mature beech trees.
D. Gurney (HES), 31 May 2011.
