After the manual exchange in Riche's Stores (NHER41292) was closed, this automatic UAX13 station was opened in 1941. In 10 years it went from 77 lines to 122. In 1952 the 999 service was made available to subscribers in this area.
In 1959 the speaking clock was made available to the now 139 lines. By 1979 there were 585 lines. In 1982 this station was closed and a new one opened at TG099227. The building is now converted to a bungalow.
