Map

May 2011. Norfolk NMP.
The site of a World War Two searchlight battery is visible as earthworks and extant structures and buildings on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (S1)-(S3), centred at TG 1190 0160. It comprised at least one emplacement, at TG 1192 0159; the remains of a possible second emplacement are visible in the site’s northeast corner. A collection of buildings and structures are visible clustered towards the west side of the site, while tracks, possible building footprints and other signs of activity are visible across most of its extent. Only the emplacements have been mapped by the NMP. Modern Ordnance Survey maps indicate that the site has been built over.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 25 May 2011.
