The school was built in 1865 as a mixed public elementary school for 65 children with enlargement in 1893. The building is constructed from knapped flint with stone cornices and lintels with a pantile on the original building and slate on the 1893 extension. The school was scheduled for closure in 1953/4 and has since been converted into a dwelling.
