The building is currently subject to a planning application to develop the surrounding land as a housing estate with plans to retain the building. The property is bounded by a 19th century wall constructed mainly from carstone with some brick.

Map

A building is first shown at this location on the 1844 tithe map as plots described as 'House and buildings' with the complex being named as 'Manor Farm' on the 6 inch 1st edition ordnance survey map. The property is bounded by a 19th century wall constructed mainly from carstone with some brick. Between the 1905 and 1928 editions of the 25 inch ordnance survey maps a large projection on the southern wing of the building is demolished and the building is shown as a simple rectangular structure. Two porches were later added and after 1928 the building was divided into two properties. The building is currently covered in pebble dash making it difficult to determine the extent of recent alterations but it is reported that the house is constructed from carstone with ?brick quoins. A large chimney stack may have been originally located on the east gable end with the central section of the property probably dating to the early post-medieval period. Chamfered oak beams support the ceilings in various places in the house. The original building, the core of which survives, may have been a Yeoman's or Steward to the Manor's house and is likely to date from around 1650 but could be earlier.
