The building was originally constructed as a single room school attached to a teacher’s house built from brick and carstone in the plain Board-school style but with arch of decorative brick work of window in gable matching that over front windows of the Teacher's house. Since closure in 1961/2 the building has been converted into a domestic dwelling.
