1982.
Conversion of outbuildings behind No. 9 in 1982 revealed what could be the jamb of a watergate on old river bank line. Excavation of swimming pool in barn behind produced Grimston Ware and bone sailmaker's needle. Finds were however in redeposited rubble.

Listing Description excerpt:
"16th century outbuilding of indeterminate use, partly rebuilt in the early 19th century, restored 1982 and converted to a health centre. Red brick with early 19th-century yellow brick south front. Slate roof. Two storeys. 20th-century door to right and another to left of elevation. Various 20th-century casements, especially to first floor. Re-used masonry at south-west corner.
Interior with heavy bridging beams, three of which are sections of a ship's mast. Some brick rebuilding 1982. Remains of door and window openings apparent. Roof structure reported to be renewed but not seen at time of Review".

The finds mentioned above as having been discovered in 1982 may in fact have come from the brick warehouse on the opposite side of the alleyway (NHER 63524).
