Summary

During a rapid earthwork identification survey in 1998 a number of pits were observed. These are possibly former marl pits. Two banks that were probably associated with post-medieval boundaries were also observed.

Rapid Earthwork Identification Survey (Compartments 5038, 5039, 5053, 5054 and 5075).
A number of pits were observed, which are possibly former marl pits.
Two banks were also noted, one aligned north-south and the other east-west. These were probably associated with boundaries that are marked on the 1st Edition OS map (these forming part of the boundary of Croxton Heath).
