Full Description
November 2008. Building Survey.
Record made of agricultural buildings at Primrose Farm ahead of their proposed conversion.
These buildings are believed to date to the late 18th century with alterations throughout the 19th and 20th centuries where older elements have been reused. The 1815 enclosure map shows the principal barn in its present location with the former stable block which were called Pingles Barn. On the 1840 tithe map with a small addition to the north of the stable block. The farm complex appears to have originated as an isolated farm before developing into a substantial farmstead from 1880 onwards with the addition of various outbuildings and a courtyard.
