Full Description
May 2011. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
This work revealed Late Saxon ditches and gullies with medieval pits and ditches. An assemblage of medieval and post-medieval pottery was recovered dating from the later part of the Saxo-Norman period including Stamford and Grimston-Thetford wares and local wares of mainly 13th century date.
