April 2011. Norfolk Rural Schools Survey.
The school was built between 1860 and 1862 with an extension to the west in 1894? to create two rooms and in 1911 to add a new wing to the south-west. The building is constructed from brick with yellow/red polychrome brick decorative work on the window heads, dressings and quoins. The School House is attached to the school on the north-east corner and faces east-west and is constructed in the same style and materials as the school. Since the 1980s the School House has been a private dwelling.
