The school was built in 1856 with divine services held on Sunday. The school is constructed in a Gothic style from red brick with a blue decorative course in the walls an on top of the door and a slate roof. The roof is slotted with roll-top ridge tiles and a double-hole crested ridge. The school was closed by 1947 and has since been converted into a private dwelling.
