The school was originally built as a Victorian National School in 1872. The school is constructed in a Gothic style from red and black brick with a pantile roof. There is an attached teacher's house built in the same style as the school. The school was scheduled to close in 1961/2 but is still in use as a Voluntary Controlled school.
