One of 7 suviving milestones along the Norwich to Bungay road, which never became a turnpike. This milestone's actual surviving inscription reads: "…LES TO/BUNGAY/7/TO NORWICH/BROOKE" in serif lettering, while the position of the stone indicates that the milages are Norwich 7 miles and Bungay 7 miles.
