Summary

Metal-detecting at unrecorded locations in Fakenham parish between 1997 and in 2009 recovered a Roman coin and a number of other metal objects, including an Iron Age crescent-shaped mount, a Roman coin and pin; a Late Saxon pin and a medieval mount. A Neolithic flaked flint axehead was also found at an unknown location in the parish in 2007.

Iron Age crescent-shaped mount, two opposing crescents as found on the 'pattern horse' type silver unit of the Iceni. On display in Norwich Castle Museum's Boudica Gallery under accession number: 2001.7.2. Possibly found near Fakenham but the exact location is unknown.
