Full Description
A defaced milestone, one of three milestones along the Norwich to Hoveton road. Although defaced, (S1) indicates that the Second edition OS map gives a milestone marking Norwich 8 miles as being positioned here.
(S1) contains information regarding this and other milestones along this route.
D. Holburn (HES), 6 February 2012.
The milestone has been reported missing by the Milestone Society. The former site is now a tarmac path associated with a new housing development. Although in poor condition, the figure '8' could still be discerned on the stone.
A. Yardy (HES), 10 September 2013.
