Map

The location of one of the milestones along the Norwich to Aylsham and Antingham road. This road "left Norwich up St. Clement's Hill, through Spixworth to Frettenham where it divided. The left-hand fork continued though Buxton, then along the present B1354 to Aylsham to join the Norwich, Aylsham and Cromer turnpike. The right-hand fork went north through Felmingham to Antingham where it met the North Walsham to Cromer road."

This milestone may have been similar to NHER 56643 and NHER 56647 in shape, a tombstone-shaped milestone with a gabled top, and the inscription inside a recessed panel, reading "TO/AYLSHAM/2 MILES/BUXTON/2 MILES". It was damaged in 1986 by verge cutting, and could not be found in 1994.

(S1) contains information regarding this and other milestones along this route.
