Full Description
One of 8 surviving milestones along the former King's Lynn, Downham Market and Stoke Ferry turnpike. This turnpike was set up in 1770 and ran from South Gate, King's Lynn to East Walton, Narborough, Stoke Ferry and Downham Market, however, milestones have only survived along the latter two routes.
This milestone is gravestone-shaped with the inscription on its front face inside an indented square.
