Full Description
One of 16 surviving milestones along the Wells to Dersingham road.
This road never became a turnpike but was an important route linking the coastal ports and villages and was used by mail coaches which ran from Cambridge to Ely, King's Lynn and Wells.
The milestones along this route are of 3 different styles. This milestone is triangular in plan, with the Parish written vertically along the spine of the milestone.
