Full Description
One of 9 surviving milestones along the Fakenham to Swaffham road. This is a V-plan milestone erected by Norfolk County Council. The Parish is written vertically along the spine of the milestone, with the destinations written on an angle. These milestones were made by Pertwee and Back, of Great Yarmouth, which was founded in 1901.
The inscription reads:
TOP: NCC/MAIN ROAD.
LHS:TO/FAKENHAM/5/MILES.
RHS:TO/SWAFFHAM/11/MILES.
