Summary

Metal-detecting between 2012 and 2014 by Elden Tours recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins as well as Roman, Early Saxon and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include Roman brooches and pot mend; a rim sherd of an Early Saxon copper alloy Coptic bowl; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval padlocks, finger rings, harness mounts, half of a mirror case, a harness pendant, thimble, seal matrix and fragment of swivel from a leash; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and weights and post-medieval harness mounts, furniture fittings, a book clasp, crotal bell, thimble, key, lead cloth seal, spur fragment, spoon handle, and a finger loop from a pair of scissors.

Medieval silver annular brooch, harness pendant, lead seal matrix and lead pot mend.
Medieval/post-medieval copper alloy cooking vessel fragments, lead weights anda knife end-stop.
Post-medieval lead cloth seal.

The medieval silver annular brooch was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2013 T189) and returned to the finder.

The post-medieval spoon handle was initially recorded as a Roman nail cleaner but was reidentified in 2018.
