Map

May 2012. Norfolk NMP.
A possible ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the east of Attleborough Hall. It is centred on TM 0538 9631 and has an internal diameter of 10m, and external diameter of 13m. It is possible that this is not an archaeological feature, and that it represents a fungus ring, or agricultural stack stand, and has been recorded with caution as it is only visible on one set of photographs. However, it may be worth noting that a Late Bronze Age socketed axe fragment was recovered from this locality (NHER 51563) and another to the south (NHER 33181).
E. Bales (NMP), 15th May 2012.
