Full Description
May 2012. Norfolk NMP.
A linear ditch earthwork is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) to the north of Ashtree Farm, Morley. The site is centred on TM 0641 9802. It is possible that this relates to the ditches recorded to the north east, as part of the deserted medieval village NHER 12178. It is also possible that it relates to drainage, as it does appear to run into a drain to the west. Three narrower ditches are also visible running perpendicular to the larger one, suggesting that they perform a drainage function.
E. Bales (NMP), 15th May 2012.
