Summary

Artefacts have been found at this location since the mid 19th century. Around 1858 a medieval stone mould depicting the Massacre of the Innocents was recovered, and sometime before 1920 fragments of 14th and 15th century pottery were also retrieved from here. Later, in 1962, a medieval iron axehead was found at a buried depth of 3m.
