1946.
Grooved ware (Rinyo-Clacton) bowl and two skeletons found. See drawing of bowl (S1), which is reproduced in (S2).
Also beaker, Iron Age?, Roman or medieval pottery found nearby.
Held by NCM.

West of Woman Hithe in cliff face or debris therefrom.
Fragment of A/C Beaker and other sherds (Iron Age or Bronze Age) found close to Grooved Ware bowl (also Roman and medieval).

two fragments coarse Roman and fragment of plain Samian indeterminate form.
