Map

June 2012
The site of a moated enclosure of probable medieval date survives as two ponds. The ponds form part of the southern side and southeast corner of the enclosure. The Weston Longville enclosure map of 1827 (S1) shows the moat as an E shape formed by the southern side, the western and eastern arms and an internal division. The tithe map and first edition six inch Ordnance Survey maps (S2-S3) show the southern and part of the eastern arms of the moat. All three of these historic maps show a house within the moat which has since been demolished.
