Full Description
March 2012. Norfolk NMP.
The fragmentary cropmarks of a series of possible ditches and field boundaries of unknown, but possible Iron Age date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The site is centred on TM 1070 9932. The cropmarks are extremely faint and have a somewhat irregular appearance, however other similarly appearing cropmarks visible within this field on this photograph (S1) have been proved through excavation to be of archaeological origin, see NHER 57360 for details. The excavation produced evidence of Iron Age settlement and/or an industrial site, see NHER 25887 for details, and it is therefore feasible that these fragmentary fields and boundaries are broadly contemporary with this site.
S. Horlock (NMP), 07 March 2012.
