Full Description
July 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of possible medieval ridge and furrow are visible on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the south of Moor Farm, Banham. Several properties are depicted in the vicinity of Moor Farm on Faden’s map of 1797, and it may be that this ridge and furrow represents farming of unenclosed land to the south of the nearest water course.
The site is centred on TM 0411 8849, and consists of parallel earthwork ridges and ditches, which have now been levelled.
E. Bales (NMP), 11 July 2012.
