Map

April 2012. Norfolk NMP.
The soilmarks of a substantial bank and ditch boundary are visible on aerial photographs (S1) to the south of the former Wymondham and Forncett branch railway line in Wreningham. The site is centred on TM 1419 9991. The boundary does not appear to be marked on any available historic maps, but would appear to represent the remains of a reasonably significant bank and ditch boundary, measuring over 10m wide in total (although some spreading of material by the plough must be expected). It is interesting to note that it follows the alignment of a section of parish boundary to the north, although there is no evidence to suggest that it continued to join this feature. The boundary also runs towards a trackway leading towards the sixteenth century High Common Cottage to the south (NHER 48532) and may therefore represent an earlier route to this track.
S. Horlock (NMP), 12 April 2012.
