Summary

The cropmarks of an undated ditch, possible a former field boundary, are visible on aerial photographs to the east of Fundenhall Wood, Ashwellthorpe. The date of this ditch is uncertain, however Bronze Age and Roman date finds have been found in this general vicinity (e.g. NHER 18007, 18123 and 17907).

The cropmarks of an undated ditch, possible a former field boundary, is visible on aerial photographs to the east of Fundenhall Wood, Ashwellthorpe (S1). The site is centred on TM 1287 9739. The date of this ditch is uncertain, however Bronze Age and Roman date finds have been found in this general vicinity (e.g. NHER 18007, 18123 and 17907).
